This policy explains what happens to your data when you use Spar Ready, the free kickboxing training app for Android.
In short
- Spar Ready has no accounts and no sign-in.
- There are no ads, no analytics and no trackers.
- What you enter in the app stays on your phone. We never receive it, and we don't sell or share any data.

“We” and “us” in this policy mean Blake Henry.
What the app stores, and why
The app saves two things, and only on your phone:
- Your training log. For each entry: your answers to “What worked?”, “What went wrong?” and “One thing to fix”, the intensity you chose (1 to 10), and the date and time you saved it. The app uses this to show your past sessions and to suggest a drill. That suggestion is worked out on your phone.
- Your level progress. How many sessions you have finished at each level, so the next level can unlock.
The app does not ask for your name, email address, location, contacts or photos, and it does not use your camera or microphone.
Where your data is stored
Your training log and progress are saved as files in the app's private storage on your phone. Other apps can't read them, and they are never sent to us or to anyone else. Spar Ready has no server, so we can't see, access or restore your data.
If Android backup is turned on, Android may include this app data in your phone's backup to your Google account. Google manages that backup under your Google account and its own privacy policy. We have no access to it.
When the app uses the internet
The app works offline, except for the video lessons and quiz videos on the Learn tab:
- Video thumbnails are loaded from YouTube's image server. Like any web request, this sends your phone's IP address and basic technical details (such as the type of device) to Google, which runs YouTube.
- When you tap a video, it opens in the YouTube app or your browser. From then on, YouTube's terms and Google's privacy policy apply.
The app never sends your training log, your progress or anything else you enter.
Google Play
You download Spar Ready from Google Play, which Google runs under its own privacy policy. If you allow your phone to share usage and diagnostics data, Google may show us crash reports and statistics, such as the phone model and Android version when the app crashed, and totals such as the number of installs per country. None of this tells us who you are. We only use it to fix problems and improve the app.
If you email us
When you email us, we receive your email address, your name if it is part of your email, and your message. We use them only to answer you. Our email runs on Gmail, a service from Google.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your message (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). For requests about your privacy rights, our legal obligation to handle them (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
How long data is kept
Data on your phone stays there until you remove it:
- Delete a single training log entry with the bin icon on the Log tab.
- Tap Reset progress at the bottom of the Path screen to set every level back to 0. Your log is kept.
- Clear the app's storage in your phone's settings, or uninstall the app, to remove everything.

Emails are kept only as long as we need them to help you and handle any follow-up. After that, we delete them.
Your rights under the GDPR
You have the right to:
- see the personal data we hold about you;
- have it corrected;
- have it deleted;
- limit or object to how we use it;
- receive it in a format you can take elsewhere.
Your training log and progress only exist on your phone, so you control them yourself. The only personal data we may hold about you is email you have sent us.
To use any of these rights, email blake.henry351@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days.
If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or to the data protection authority in the EU country where you live.
Children
Spar Ready does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If the app starts handling data differently, for example by adding sign-in, we will update this policy before that version is released and change the date at the top of this page.
